A reclining nude is drawn in loose blue-grey line and pale shading over a warm tan ground, one arm raised above the head and the body turned outward. The drawing is economical and confident, describing volume with the lightest of hatching. The unfinished, working quality gives it an intimacy and immediacy, the figure caught in a moment of unselfconscious ease.
