Crimson Vortex

Catalogue note

A swirling field of red and orange fills the canvas, drawn toward a dark vortex at its centre. Petal- and leaf-like shapes are pressed into the surface, some loaded, some translucent, and a few pale notes leaven the heat. The composition hovers between floral close-up and abstraction.
