Yellow Blossom Mass

Catalogue note

Dense yellow leaves or blossoms crowd the canvas against a deep blue ground, worked in varied touches that range from opaque cream to thin, scumbled yellow. The blue shows through the mass as shadow and air, keeping the surface alive. The mood is bright and faintly decorative.
