Avenue of Tall Trees

Catalogue note

Tall dark trees stand in a receding rank, their long shadows crossing a pale path, with fields and distant hills beyond. The trunks are massed in deep violet and olive, the lit foliage touched with green. Repetition and perspective create a calm, orderly rhythm.
