Waterlilies and a Resting Duck

A near-abstraction of lily pads in acid greens and pinks floats across blue water, a single white-and-rust duck resting mid-stream. The paint is applied wet-into-wet, leaves bleeding into their own reflections. By cropping out any shoreline the painting holds the viewer suspended above the pond’s surface.
