Sheep on a Frosted Field

Catalogue note

A small flock grazes across a pale, frost-bleached meadow, their woolly forms sketched in greys and warm whites. Bare, skeletal trees and a low ridge close the horizon beneath a soft, colourless sky. The muted, nearly grisaille palette and gentle impasto give the scene a chilly, contemplative quiet.
