A vast brooding slate sky lowers over a pale beach where tiny figures and a dog walk near the waterline. The immense proportion of sky to land dwarfs the human incident, emphasising nature’s scale. The palette is limited to greys, ochres and dark blues, applied in broad, low-contrast strokes.
