An almost monochrome essay in blue: a dark towering sky opens onto a luminous white cloud that seems to spill toward the sea, where a line of surf breaks against a low dark shore. The paint is applied in broad soaked passages and the values held on the edge of abstraction. Turbulent yet serene, the image is a study in the raw force of weather.
