Tiger by the Moonlit Lake

Catalogue note

A tiger lies along a stone parapet beside a moonlit lake, a pink domed pavilion and a floodlit fort rising dreamily behind it. The palette is soft, romantic and slightly theatrical, moonlight silvering the water and foliage. Neither documentary nor naturalistic, the scene is a constructed, mythic idyll closer to illustration than observation.
