Tree Against Deep Blue

Catalogue note

A dark tree trunk rises through a mass of white blossom against an intense deep-blue field, the foliage worked in light, feathery touches. The stark contrast between the near-black trunk and the luminous whites gives the tree a sculptural, almost heraldic presence. The mood is still and faintly dreamlike.
