Green Fields Under Grey

Catalogue note

Green fields and clumps of pale-leaved trees are set beneath a low grey sky, with a dark ridge rising at the left. The brushwork is open and energetic, keeping the greens varied and alive. The picture is calm and pastoral, with a soft, overcast light.
