Silver Fish in the Reeds

Catalogue note

A shoal of silver-scaled fish with scarlet fins sweeps through dense green weed in an unusually open, almost graphic arrangement. Broad sweeping passages and calligraphic weed stems give the surface a sketch-like freshness, with pale ground left deliberately bare. The result is lively and decorative, water rendered as pattern and rhythm.
