Farm Beneath the Mountain

A whitewashed farmstead and two poplars sit at the foot of a great mountain slope that rises into cloud. Broad diagonal sweeps of olive, yellow and grey describe the mountainside, while the little white gables anchor the composition. The scale is deliberately humbling, human shelter dwarfed by weather and rock.
