Girls in Blue Uniforms

Catalogue note

A group of schoolgirls in blue dresses and pale hats moves through dappled green parkland, their figures merging into one another in loose, impressionistic strokes. The light is broken and flickering across grass and foliage, and the girls’ blue is the one cool note stabilising the warm green. The picture feels caught rather than posed, a fleeting moment of companionship in transit.
