Roaring Big Cat

Catalogue note

The head of a great cat fills the frame, jaws wide and teeth bared in a full-throated roar, the ear turned forward and the eye closed against the effort. The palette is limited to ochres, browns and greys, with the open mouth worked in emphatic crimson and white for maximum shock. The close cropping makes the animal a pure image of sound and threat rather than a specimen study.
