Working title:
Mist in the High Places
EnquireCatalogue note
Seen from the air, dark ridges plunge into a chasm filled with swirling cloud, a single bird no more than a speck against the white. The palette is monochrome-plus, charcoal, titanium white and a faint blue, applied in sweeping, wind-like strokes. The painting is less topography than the sensation of altitude and void.
