Wide River under Thin Snow

Catalogue note

A broad shallow river braids across the foreground between low snow-covered banks, lines of dark trees marking its far margins. The sky is a flat misted grey, drained of colour. The composition is wide and empty, its mood one of cold, suspended quiet.
