Koi and Splash

A single orange-and-white koi curves through dark water beside a fan of white spray and trailing green weed. The fish’s body is modelled in warm creams and vermilions against a field of deep cobalt and navy, and the water is broken into broad, aqueous strokes. The close-up cropping pushes the viewer right down onto the surface, making the fish’s turn the whole drama.
