Orange Wood Reflected

A bank of glowing orange foliage leans over still, snow-fringed water, its colour thrown back in broken vertical strokes. On the right a stand of dark trunks closes the composition, the palette pitched at maximum contrast between hot orange and cold navy. The effect is almost abstract, autumn fire held against winter.
