Grey Water, Distant Hills

A wide body of water lies almost still beneath a low, overcast sky, drawn in a narrow band of greys that silver where the light grazes the surface. The composition is radically simple: a low horizon, distant hills as a dark seam, and no incident to distract from atmosphere. The effect is one of held breath, quiet and elegiac.
