Concentric rings of falling rain expand across a dark, mirror-still expanse of water that holds a dim, silvery reflection of light. The palette is nearly monochrome, black and grey with a ghost of rose, and the composition is nothing but circles and their echoes. Meditative and faintly melancholy, it is water reduced to its essential event.
