Catalogue note

A figure in a swirl of red and orange is caught mid-movement against a pale, light-filled ground, one arm raised and a leg extended. The body is barely modelled, dissolved into billowing passages of scarlet and crimson that read at once as flesh, fabric and flame. The energy of the pose is carried almost entirely by colour.
