Tree-lined Canal

Catalogue note

A tree-lined canal recedes to a bright opening at its centre, the water mirroring leaves and light. Greens dominate, deepened almost to black in the foreground and lifted by a long pale reflection running down the middle. The composition is a quiet corridor of shade.
