Fish Among the Reeds

Catalogue note

Looking down into shallow water, a large pale fish hovers beneath reeds that pierce the surface like drawn lines. Warm yellow-ochre on the fish gives way to cold blues and deep greens, the transparency of the water described in soft, scumbled passages. The composition has the hesitancy of glimpsed life and the whole surface reads as liquid, slightly unstable.
